radcontrol Jibaya — support

Jibaya is the field-collection app for ISPs running radcontrol. It needs an account on an ISP's own server; there is no radcontrol.org account to sign in with.

Who to ask

If you are a collector — your dealer or ISP created your account and assigned your round. Sign-in problems, a missing subscriber, or a wrong balance are theirs to fix, and they can do it in minutes.

If you run the server — write to info@radcontrol.org. Include your radcontrol version (System → About), the phone model and OS version, and what you expected to happen. We answer in English and Arabic.

"Server unreachable" at sign in

Nearly always one of three things:

  • The installation has no HTTPS yet. Android and iOS both refuse plain HTTP here, so the server must have a certificate. The operator sets one up with deploy/tls.sh letsencrypt <domain> <email> — see the user guide.
  • The address has a typo. Enter it exactly as the operator gave it, for example isp.example.com. A path is fine too if the console lives under one.
  • The phone is on a network that cannot reach the server — a server published only on the ISP's internal network is not reachable from mobile data.

Sign-in is refused

  • "Not licensed" — the installation's licence does not include Jibaya. The operator should contact us for a licence that does.
  • "Account locked" or "too many attempts" — the dealer can unlock the collector from the console.
  • A six-digit code is requested — two-factor auth is on for that account; use the authenticator app it was set up with.

The receipt printer will not connect

  • It must be a Bluetooth LE printer. Older Bluetooth-Classic (SPP) printers do not appear in the scan at all and cannot work on iOS. If the printer only pairs from the phone's system Bluetooth settings and shows a PIN prompt, it is almost certainly Classic.
  • Pair it inside the app, under Settings → Printer — not from the phone's Bluetooth screen.
  • Turn Bluetooth on and allow the permission when asked. On Android 11 and older the system also asks for location before it will allow any Bluetooth scan; that is an OS rule, and the app never reads your position.
  • Receipts print as an image, which is why Arabic comes out correctly on printers whose own fonts are Latin-only. A blank or garbled receipt usually means the paper is in upside down or the roll is not 58 mm.

Something looks wrong in the numbers

The app is a view onto the ISP's server, not a separate ledger — every payment it records is written there with the collector, time and amount. If a figure looks wrong, the dealer can see the same record in the console, and reverse a payment entered by mistake.

Privacy and data

See the privacy policy. In short: the app talks only to the server the collector signs in to, stores its token in the device keychain, and sends nothing to radcontrol.org.
